The Tameside Christmas Market returns this year on Friday the 24th November and promises to be a fun-filled event for all the family.
FREE fairground rides and storytime with Santa are among the many highlights of Tameside Christmas Market 2017.
The Christmas market will take place in the Market Street area of Ashton – behind Ashton Market Hall – from Friday to Sunday over the weekends of 24-26 November, 1-3 December and 8-10 December.
The borough-wide community event – organised by Tameside Council’s award-winning markets team – will offer over 20 traditional cabin stalls selling handmade crafts and gifts as well as delicious festive food and drinks.
There will also be a Santa’s grotto, raising money for local charities, and free rides with a different attraction every weekend including donkey rides, a ferris wheel, a carousel and a helter skelter.
New for this year will be opportunity to enjoy breakfast and storytime with Santa. Storytime with Santa is FREE and will take place in the event marquee on Saturday 25 November and 2 and 9 December from 10 – 10.30am.
While a very special one-off Breakfast with Santa will take place on Sunday 3 December 10 – 10.45am. Children will be able to choose from a menu including toast or a pastry, fruit and a drink. Visitors will also be able to relax in a covered refreshments area while enjoying music from local brass bands and popular local performers
